Write Around Here Launches
its first Staged Reading Series
with Bill Fountain's
Hecate Hill

A group of cycling friends meet for a reunion (and Bigfoot hunt) in a remote cabin in Oklahoma. Meanwhile, not far away, a group of hunters kill one of the creatures. Suddenly, not only does the world find out that the creatures really exist, but they don't take kindly to one of their own being killed.

Bob White directed a relatively fleshed out version of the script with minimal set overlaid on the Rover Dramawerks' Woman in Mind stage.

Actors Lauren Wenzel, John Biggan, Tristan Raquel Bunting, Robert Shores, Kyle Dupree, Allison Pistorius and Jordan Hall. Did a remarkable rendition off book and fully blocked in less than a week of rehearsal. Amazing. If there was ever a reason to test a bike team..

Just kidding...

Don McLaughlin moderated the Q&A talkback fielding questions from attendees (of which there were quite a lot) and sparring with playwright, director and cast. The cast won in a split decision best of 3 falls.

Subsequent to this performance, the script will be performed later this year as a full production as the new Cautionary Tale Theater's first Late Night at
Pocket Sandwich Theater
